PEDAL Play and Mental Health Conference 2023: FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

For any enquiries not answered here, please contact us via email at pedal@educ.cam.ac.uk.

PEDAL Play and Mental Health Conference 2023 will be at the prestigious Faculty of Education at the University of Cambridge. To find out how to get to the Faculty on foot, by bike, or using public transport, click here.

The Faculty of Education is only 15 minutes’ walk away from Cambridge Station, so we recommend travelling by train. There are also several direct buses from the station to the Faculty.

Unfortunately, unless you have accessibility needs, we cannot offer you parking for the day within the Faculty car park. There are some parking spaces on the residential streets around the Faculty – such as Cavendish Avenue, Hills Avenue and Glebe Road – but we cannot guarantee parking on the day. The closest paid car park is Cambridge Leisure.

If you require a parking space on the day due to accessibility needs, please email pedal@educ.cam.ac.uk and we can arrange that for you.

While this event is in-person only and we will not be live-streaming the Conference, we will be recording some of the speakers and breakout sessions. These videos will be made available after the Conference on our YouTube channel.

You can also follow us on Twitter and Instagram to keep up to date with the latest Conference news and highlights.

There are many great hotels in Cambridge, but over the summer the city tends to get quite busy so we recommend booking early. The Ibis Cambridge Central Station is conveniently located right by the train station and only a 15 minute walk from the Faculty of Education.

There is also a Travelodge only 5 minutes away from the Faculty. For further information about other Travelodge hotels in the area, please click here.

If you have any accessibility needs, please fill out our registration form and/or let us know if we’ve missed anything! We strive to make this event as inclusive as possible, and can offer the following list of resources:

  • All rooms are wheelchair accessible
  • Accessible toilets are available on site
  • British Sign Language interpretation
  • Hearing loop in rooms (being fitted this summer)
  • Prayer room
  • Quiet space
  • Service dog friendly
