Stuart is a part-time doctoral student, researching the conceptualisation of learning goals in policy, with his research focusing on Education Scotland. He is chair of the implementation group for Scottish government’s Play: vision statement and action plan 2025 to 2030, and is contracted to support the Scottish Curriculum Improvement Cycle as Technical Support Lead. He works as an educator for Highland Council in the Scottish Highlands and is the author of the Hesscairn Guide to Learning and the AAA+, Hesscairn Guide to Teaching for Understanding written during his doctoral studies and published by Ingrove Press.
