María Alejandra Álvarez Taborda

Alejandra is a first year PhD student at PEDAL, supervised by Professor Jenny Gibson and funded by The Cambridge Trust. Her research explores play through a neurodiversity-affirming lens, with a focus on Latin America.

Prior to joining PEDAL, Alejandra completed an MSc in Psychoanalytic Developmental Psychology at University College London in conjunction with the Anna Freud Centre. She has a background in psychology and brings extensive experience as a psychotherapist in Colombia.
