Emma is a 3rd year PhD student funded by the LEGO Foundation and Cambridge Trust, undertaking research relating to autistic play and strengths-based autism diagnostic assessment.
Emma is a PhD student supervised by Prof Jenny Gibson. Emma’s PhD focuses on understanding autistic play and autism diagnostic assessment from a strengths-based or neurodiversity-informed perspective.
As part of this, Emma is currently working on two interview-based studies: one on autistic perspectives and experiences of play, and another on professionals’ views of strengths-based autism diagnostic assessment.
