Join PEDAL and Starlight on Thursday 23rd March for ‘Just’ Play?: A symposium on children’s health care.
This event will shine a spotlight on the often overlooked role of children’s play in healthcare settings, considering current research in the field and how it might inform policy, workforce development & future improvements in practice. We’ll be joined by keynote speaker Professor Imelda Coyne from the School of Nursing & Midwifery, Trinity College, University of Dublin, who will present her research on supporting children’s agency in their own treatment; and the role of play in enhancing their experiences of healthcare.
Starlight is a charity committed to protecting the right of all children to have opportunities to play, particularly children who are seriously ill and/or engaged with the UK healthcare system on a long-term basis.
